While standing in line, A customer returned to the counter pulling a remaining hair found in his chili. So sad the fast food industry has fallen below even minimal standards. I quickly left the line settling on Chinese restaurant only to find a bone and tough chicken.
Thanks for the follow up. I am from out of town but appreciate the offer. In all fairness, my review was really for two restaurants. I was in a hurry at the time and it expressed my frustrations with fast food in general. Tom -

Went specifically to try new hot mett and after taking two bites I realized I just nipped the mett and it was really small. Then I owned it up and realized it was nearly non existent

While in the Cincinnati-Northern KY area, stopping at a Gold Star Chili restaurant is a must for me. Cincinnati style chili is more like a ground meat sauce served over spaghetti and topped with lots of shredded cheese (3-way) which you can also enjoy with beans and/or onions for 4-way and 5-way meal. I enjoy the Classic 5-Way the best!
This Gold Star Chili is located in the food court of the Florence Mall, which serves up the classic ways, burritos/bowls, coneys, fries, salads, kids meals, shakes, and Pepsi fountain drinks.
After shopping at the mall, I stopped over here to order a Chili Burrito ($6.59 plus tax) and no drink and I specified it was for carryout during the order. This counter was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon with workers churning out orders. My chili burrito was all set in under 5 minutes, but the burrito was placed on a tray instead of a plastic to-go bag. I initially took my food to a nearby table to make sure it was made right. The big soft flour tortilla was rolled filled with lots of rice, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and chili a bit messy. Now I definitely needed a bag and more napkins for the burrito. I went back up to the counter to get a plastic to-go bag since I was going to eat this burrito at my hotel. I waited for about a couple minutes until I got the attention of the counter girl who took my order and asked for a to-go bag (I initially specified carryout when I ordered). Not friendliest worker I've encountered at a Gold Star Chili, she begrudgingly handed me a small plastic to-go bag for my burrito and I was all set. I was actually at another Gold Star Chili in Franklin OH earlier the same day and received good food and friendly & efficient service.
